Short Migration Safaris | 7 Days / 6 Nights

Day 1 – Kilimanjaro airport/Arusha. Overnight at Mvuli hotel.
Day 2 – Arusha / Tarangire National Park. Overnight at Eileen’s tree inn lodge
Day 3 – Tarangire National Park / Serengeti National Park. Overnight at Osupuko tented camp.
Day 4 – Full day Central Serengeti Park. Overnight at Serengeti at Osupuko tented camp.
Day 5 – Central Serengeti / Northern Serengeti area. (Special day for wildebeests migration watch). Overnight at heritage migration camp.
Day 6 – Northern Serengeti / Ngorongoro crater rim. Overnight at Hhando coffee lodge.
Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater / Kilimanjaro airport. Fly out

Day 1: Kilimanjaro airport/Arusha town.

Our driver will pick you on your arrival at the airport whereby you will drive to Arusha town for overnight at the lodge booked for overnight.

Day 2: Arusha/Tarangire N.park

Our driver will pick you from the your overnight hotel and  drive to Tarangire national park by Land cruiser, crossing the Maasai Steppe on your way to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s fourth largest and one of its most diverse. Stop at the picturesque park gate for the driver to fill up the parks registration book e. Full day game drive in the park enjoying viewing animals in the park.  Soon, the impressive Great Rift Valley Escarpment will come into view – a 2,000 foot high wall that rises up, improbably steep and incredibly tall, out of the flat plains.

Elephants, Buffalos, pythons are seen easily regularly cross your path, unbothered by your benign presence and going about their daily routines.  You’ll meander along bush tracks and explore the Tarangire River’s twists and turns, finding elephant drinking and playing in the refreshing waters.  Late this afternoon you’ll arrive at your amazing lodge where you can settle in and relax before dinner and your overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire/Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will take your way to the Serengeti’s endless plains for early afternoon to sunset game drives in the park. You will make your way around the southern edge of the crater rim, spotting the occasional hyena, elephant or African buffalo along the way. By late morning, you will arrive at the famed Serengeti National Park. The plains seem endless from this vantage point. Stop to enjoy your picnic lunch at Naabi Hill before meandering through the wildlife-rich central Serengeti. Later in the evening at your camp, you will be able to settle into your accommodation before joining other travelers in the dining area for some palate teasers in anticipation of a scrumptious meal this evening. Afterwards, gather round the campfire before heading off to bed. Relax in your comfortable surroundings tonight as you are lulled to sleep by the sounds of the Serengeti plains.

Day 4: Full day in Central Serengeti Park

Have a full day discovering the Serengeti on a game drive. Today is the day for the big cats; you will spot cheetah, leopard and lion. You will go out for sunrise game drive at 0600am followed by breakfast at 0830am. Then head out for more game drives until lunch time. After your lunch, you will proceed with your afternoon game drive to sunset whereby you will drive back for dinner and overnight. Overnight will be at Serengeti osupuko tented camp.

 Day 5: Central Serengeti/ Northern Serengeti area

In the morning after done with your breakfast you will drive out to the north Serengeti for full day wildebeest migration game drives in the Northern Serengeti area. Late in afternoon you will make your way back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Central Serengeti /Ngorongoro crater rim

After done with your breakfast you will drive out for half day game drive in Central Serengeti area, this start from sunrise to late morning where you will break for lunch, after lunch you will have game en-route on your way to Ngorongoro crater base/karatu  for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ngorongoro crater floor/Kilimanjaro airport.

Rise early for breakfast before you spend a half day exploring the crater floor.  The area is world-renowned in its reputation and very small in its scale, so you will see other safari goers. Don’t let that distract you from the beauty of the place or from the fact that this remains one of the only places on earth where you may see all of the Big Five at once: Lion, Leopard, Bull Elephant, African Buffalo and Black Rhino.  To maximize your time on the crater floor you will enjoy a special boxed lunch at a scenic picnic spot.

Your journey will take you throughout this tremendous landscape that is constantly changing as animals move to and fro in search of pasture, water or east prey. In the afternoon ascend to the rim and drive back to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight back home.
